Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains what OutRank.Fan collects, why, and who it is shared with when you browse the site, verify your email, or pay to create or raise a Fan Spot. It sits alongside our Terms.
Who is responsible
C3 Octane Intelligence, LLC operates OutRank.Fan at https://outrank.fan. A working contact email for privacy requests will be published here before any live, non-sandbox payment opens to the public.
What we collect
We collect only what is needed to run the boards, take payment, verify ownership, and keep the service secure.
- Account identity. The email address you verify to sign in. Supabase verifies the one-time code and manages your session, while our transactional email provider delivers the message. We do not set or require a password.
- Fan Spot content. The display name, promo message, and promo link you submit when you claim or edit a Fan Spot.
- Payment confirmation. Stripe collects your card and billing details directly; we never see or store full card numbers. We keep the payment amount, timestamp, and Stripe's confirmation identifiers so the correct ranking is recorded.
- Session cookie. A single strictly necessary cookie that keeps you signed in between visits. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
- Standard request data. Our hosting provider (Vercel) processes ordinary technical data such as IP address and user agent to serve pages and to protect the service from abuse. We do not currently run any analytics or ad-tracking scripts on this site.
- Messages you send us. If you email us a question, correction, or privacy request, we keep that correspondence to respond and to maintain a record where required.
Why we use this data
To create and operate your Fan Spot and process payment (contract); to keep the boards accurate, prevent abuse, and secure the service (legitimate interest); and to meet tax, accounting, and legal record-keeping obligations where the law requires it. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use your email to advertise unrelated products.
Fan Spot content is public
A Fan Spot's display name, promo message, promo link, rank, and amount are public by design. That is the product. Anyone can see them, including search engines. Do not submit a display name, message, or link that reveals more than you want publicly visible. Your verified email address itself is never shown publicly.
Who we share data with
Stripe processes payments and helps prevent fraud. Supabase verifies your email, manages sessions, and hosts account and catalog data. Resend delivers authentication email after custom SMTP is enabled. Vercel hosts and serves the site. Cloudflare verifies anti-abuse challenges when Turnstile is enabled. We do not share your information with data brokers or use it for third-party advertising.
How long we keep it
Account and Fan Spot data is kept for as long as your Fan Spot remains active, plus a reasonable period after for legal, tax, and dispute-resolution purposes. You can ask us to delete your account data at any time; a public Fan Spot's paid ranking history remains part of the permanent ledger described in the Terms even if the associated display content is removed.
Your choices
You can edit or remove your Fan Spot's public display name, message, and link at any time from your account. You can ask us to delete your account and stop processing your personal data by emailing us; we will retain only what law or legitimate dispute-resolution needs require us to keep.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service changes. Material changes will be reflected by a new effective date above.
This policy is intended to describe our current data practices clearly while the service is in sandbox/beta with no live public payments. A working contact email and any required jurisdiction-specific disclosures will be completed before public production payments open. A physical mailing address is not published here; it is provided privately to our payment processor as required for account verification.
